With Bead and Buy , a public holiday long weekend and us finalising the new workshop schedule for semester 2, we've been pretty busy so June was a relatively quiet month for workshops.

I've always loved the Vintaj Patina range. They are extremely versatile across many mediums, come in a range fabulous colours (which are blendable) and are easy to use.
This week I received a shipment of findings and within this, some beautiful large metal alloy rings which are perfect for colouring with Vintaj Patinas.
So, I decided to have a play and put together this quick and easy free project for you to try.

May was one of our busiest workshop months here at The Whimsical Bead studio. Along with our local tutors, we also hosted extremely talented metalsmith and mixed media artist, Wendy Hearn.

2016 is a very special year for The Whimsical Bead as it marks 10 years of us being in business.
Whilst it's been a few months since this special event, the wonderful pieces that were submitted as part of our 10th Birthday Celebrations Competition are very much still cemented in my mind and I'm long overdue in sharing them with you.
